Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim appeared at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) headquarters and astounded to see the arrangements around the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium for the World Cup winning young Tigers.

BCB had furnished the home of cricket with the colourful picture-printed banners of the winning team’s captain and roaring players along with lighting the entire stadium premises to greet the victorious team, who clinched the coveted World Cup trophy first-ever for the country.

Standing in front of the banner of the roaring players, who were running with the credible World Cup trophy after winning the crown of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Mushfiq saluted them for their jaw-dropping accomplishment in the youth extravaganza.

Right from the few hours of it, he uploaded that picture on his verified facebook page, where he wrote, “Proud of you, brothers.”

After securing the long-cherished trophy in the nail-biting final, Mushfiq in his off the cuff reaction said this is the biggest achievement so far in Bangladesh cricket.

“Alhamdulillah!! I can say without a doubt the biggest achievement in my life is becoming a cricketer from Bangladesh. These boys have made me prouder than ever. Congratulations superstars!” Mushfiqur Rahim wrote on his facebook page.

Moreover, as soon as the conclusion of the final match, the wicketkeeper-batsman uploaded a roaring young Tigers video on his Twitter handle, where he wrote, “Alhamdulillah! MashaAllah the team Tigers. Really very much proud of you. Many many congratulations to captain Akbar and his troops.”

Before the final, he uploaded another picture with the caption of “The whole nation is rooting for you guys today. Make the country proud, in Sha Allah. All the best juniors.”

Actually Mushfiq followed the Young Tigers in every match of them especially from the semi-final what they confirmed beating hosts South Africa and booked the final thrashing of New Zealand. He wrote after winning the semi-final against New Zealand on February 6.

“Alhamdulillah.  Mashaa Allah, Congratulations brothers. Keep calm and one more big step to go young tigers....come on Bangladesh”

“Under-19 World Cup Final for the first time - Congratulations lads!”

In addition, the World Cup triumphant Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team returned home from South Africa yesterday after over a month-long stay for the 2020 ICC Under-19 World Cup.
