Beximco arrives without notice

Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Thursday that they have decided to pick Beximco Limited as the sponsor of Bangladesh team in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20.
BCB had already advertised for sponsorship deal of the national team after they have completed their two year term with Unilever that will end on January 31.
When the national women’s cricket teams’ cricketers came into the ground wearing the Beximco sponsored practice dress ahead of the official photo shoot for the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 it took everyone by surprise.
Firstly during these official photo shoot cricketers are expected to wear the national jersey and secondly out of nowhere Beximco came into the picture in the national jersey.
‘’Beximco is our stop-gap arrangement [as national team’s jersey sponsor] for ICC World T20,’’ BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury told Crickfrenzy when his attention was drawn in this regard.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan said that they are expecting women’s team to do well in the upcoming ICC World Twenty20.
We have high expectation as they are representing Bangladesh and I think it is important that they are playing in the world cup and this is a matter of pride for us too,
‘’Till now the performance of women team is neither good nor bad,’’ he said.
‘’We are Asia Cup champion and we are in good stead and I cannot deny that we could not give the women the same facilities that we give to the men's team,’’ he said.
