With a goal to become the ‘main bowler’ of Bangladesh national team, Rangpur Rangers fast bowler Taskin Ahmed eyes to return into the national team circuit on a permanent basis as he said he wants to win more matches for Bangladesh national team.
“Will try to represent Bangladesh more and win the matches for Bangladesh,” Taskin told reporters his vision ahead of 2020 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
“What I haven’t achieved in 2019, will try to achieve in 2020. Try to perform my best and perform better. The dream will be to become the main bowler of Bangladesh team,” Taskin added.

The national team right armed fast bowler revealed his ideas regarding the national team after he managed to portray a worth-noting performance bagging 4 wickets to seal a much needed victory for Rangpur.
Taskin who also not as consistent for his BPL team this season wore the national team jersey last in 2017 both in Test and ODI format.
“To become a main player of the team, (I have to play) what I have played for 4-5 years in across all formats,” said Taskin.
“Team management did what they thought would be good for the team. This is not in my hand, whether I will play or not. I kept on practicing. Tried to overcome the mistakes,” Taskin told regarding the inconsistent opportunity at his team in BPL.
“I will try to perform better in the future. I will have to learn silly mistakes. Now I cannot say I am inexperienced. I have played enough. If I can’t correct my own mistakes, then it will be my failure. I will try to perform better” Taskin concluded.
