Chattogram Challengers English all-rounder Liam Plunkett said on Tuesday that losing the last game can be a blessing in disguise as it made them more motivated to do well.
Though Chattogram is still riding at the top their loss against Rangpur Rangers at their home town can be considered a big blow considering the way they were playing at their home town.
‘’You want to finish top. When you qualify you always want to finish top of the table. You want to win the league. So I would say we have won some games,’’ Plunkett told reporters at the BCB academy premises on Tuesday.

‘’We lost the last game which gives us the kick of the backside and makes us come back work hard and training. And makes us want to win the next game even more,’’ he said.
Chittagong was good. Guys were really good, they win some games there. I only came in the last game. So it was nice to get a run out. I flew six hours, no practice until the game,’’ he said adding that it was difficult for him to bowl the yorkers as the ball skitted.
‘’It was a good batting wicket and the ball skitted on to lights. It looked hard to bowl because the ball was wet. So it was quite hard to bowl yorkers. Cause it was sliding through but looked a good wicket,’’ he said.
Plunkett said that he is happy with the way everyone contributed.
‘’I think the way they play. The way they scored the run on top. Everyone contributed. It is nice to have a guy who swings the ball early on with a new ball. I have seen spinners bowl well too. Each of them trying to do something different and help win the games,’’ he concluded.
