The Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Monday that they are learning from their previous mistake production-wise and keeping no stones unturned so that it is not repeated in the upcoming edition of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.
In the previous season, the absence of Ultra Edge, Snickometer or Hot Spot technology in the tournament's Decision Review System (DRS) had made the headlines alongside many instances of errors in the broadcast.
There were several occasions where commentators were heard mispronouncing players' names, getting the names of fielding positions wrong.
Furthermore, there were several occasions when viewers had to experience graphical errors.

“There is always learning from mistake. This time we [BCB] tried to ensure the best of the technologies for [broadcast] production. Spider cam and drone will be used in broadcasting the matches. In Dhaka we will have the spider cam because of the available facility and in Chittagong and Sylhet we will have the drone,” said Nizamuddin to the media at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.
“We had learned a few production flaws through media reports last season. So this time we are ensuring to have the best production available. The tournament will start tomorrow and the commentators have already reached Dhaka. In case we need to enrich the commentator panel, we will look into it,” the BCB high-up added.
Despite the effort, things have been haywire for the BCB even on the day just prior to the tournament start. The BCB, following a long dispute with the franchises, had come with the plan to organize the tournament by its own. But as it has happened so far miscommunication between the teams and the BPL GC has been evident.
Though BCB had insisted that there will be a drone in place but whether that will be placed on time is a big question as they are yet to fix everything on time.
Production guys were seen fixing up the things at the SBNS and the way it stands there is hardly any chance that everything will be in place just before the start of the tournament.
‘’It is going to be hard. Normally it takes three days to fix everything and we are trying our level best to do everything on time but it’s difficult,’’ said a production boy.
‘’There was the opening ceremony so we could not do everything earlier,’’ he said.
