We are eyeing gold in SA Games- Jahanara

Bangladesh Women’s cricket team is optimistic about securing gold in the South Asian Games, said pace bowler Jahanara Alam on Friday.
The event will be played in the T20 format is set to begin on December 1.

“We got the opportunity to play in the SA Games for the first time. We’re eager to make this event memorable, and to do so, we’ve to make a good start to the event,” Jahanara Alam, one of the members of the Bangladesh team, told the media on Friday before flying to Nepal.
“We’ve to make a good start to the competition. Our main goal in the event is to win the Gold medal,” Jahanara told the media.
Seven teams will be fighting in women’s cricket of SA Games. Hosts Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan will play in Group A while Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives in Group B.
The two top teams of each group will be promoted to the semifinals of the event. The final will take the place on December 9.
Bangladesh Women’s cricket team for SA Games: Salma Khatun (Captain), Nigar Sultana, Jahanara Alam, Ayesha Rahman, Farjana Haque, Murshida Khatun, Sanjida Islam, Shabnam Mustari, Fahima Khatun, Shamima Sultana, Nahida Akter, Khadija Tul Kubra, Ritu Moni, Puja Chakraborty and Rabeya Akter.
