Gibbs to coach Sylhet Thunders in BBPL

Former South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs has been named as the head coach of Sylhet Thunders in the seventh edition of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh premier league.
Sylhet Director Tanzil Chowdhury has confirmed the news to cricfrenzy.com.

Gibbs was rated as one of the most talented batsmen of his time and was one of the best fielders in the team.
Gibbs will come to the city on December 8 and will start his role as coach from the next day. Gibbs has done some coaching previously in the Twenty 20 leagues around the world. He has the coaching experience in Afghanistan Premier League and also in Euro t-20 league.
Sarwar Imran the former Bangladesh coach will act as mentor for the team.
Gibbs will have his work cut out as Sylhet never have been a successful franchise in Bpl and their team balance on paper does not look as strong as other teams but in twenty-20 cricket teams just need to bond well to get success.
The BBPL will start on December 11. Sylhet will take on Chattagrom Challengers at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium to kick-start their campaign.
