We have attacking spinners: Shakib

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is optimistic that his spinners will do well against West Indies in the upcoming two-match Test series, as they are attacking bowlers.
Bangladesh will begin their campaign with the series-opener at Chittagong from November 22 and will play their second Test at Dhaka on November 30.
Left-arm spinner Taijul played a vital role in Bangladesh’s last two-match Test series as he picked 18 wickets while Mehidy Hasan’s five-for in the last innings of the second game helped the host levels the series against Zimbabwe.

“See both of them [Taijul and Mehidy] have played a lot of matches and they have good experience now. They have a lot of wickets in their names.
“They are vastly experiences and they have the ability that one can make a turnaround in the match. Taijul bowled really well, got a number of wickets. Miraj also bowled beautifully,” said Shakib.
“Nayeem is very much promising. I think we don’t have to worry about our spin bowling department. All of them are attacking bowlers, I will say wicket-taking bowlers,” he added.
Shakib said that he is not sure how the pitch will play but hoped that it would be helpful for the host to play according to their strength.
“I think curators are trying to do something different. Here are nothing much to talk about the wicket.
“Both teams will get equal opportunities. I believe that the ball will turn here, though, it is tough to predict the wicket after seeing for a few times only. Sometimes the wicket may get better day by day. I hope that will not happen this time,” he said.
“[I also hope] the wicket will be perfect as what a great Test match is needed,” he concluded.
