With Shakib Al Hasan out of action due to injury, Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in a two-match Test series under the stewardship of Mahmudullah Riyad. Shakib thinks that the Tigers will have no difficulties against the visiting side despite missing the service of another seasoned campaigner – Tamim Iqbal.
Bangladesh did have both of the cricketers in the team when they last played in the longest format of the game. However, they failed to avoid a series whitewash against West Indies on that occasion.

The Bangladesh team have so far showed enough maturity in handling the situations without Tamim and Shakib and the latter believes that they will continue to do so in the upcoming series as well.
“I don’t see any possibility of it [the Test series] being difficult. I don’t think there will be any problem. Our team is much more capable now, not because the opponent is Zimbabwe, we’ve proven that in Asia Cup too. The team did very well without the two of us,” said Shakib.
Bangladesh have named four uncapped players in their 15-member squad for the Test series. The first match of the series will start on November 3, in Sylhet. The second match, which is schedule to start on November 11, will be played in Dhaka.
