Uncapped batsman Fazle Mahmud seems to have no prejudice against any team as he is eyeing to make every opportunity count after earning a national call-up at age 30.
With the experience of playing in the domestic circuit for over a decade, Fazle could be handed a debut when Bangladesh face Zimbabwe in a three-ODI series, starting on October 21.
“I do not have the experience of playing international cricket. So, playing against Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia or any other team doesn’t make a difference. I'll play like I do once I get the opportunity. It's not important that who I'm playing against. How I am playing is all that matters,” said the confident left-hander.
It has been a fantastic year so far for Fazle, starting off with a brilliant Dhaka Premier League tournament, where he finished as the fourth-highest run-getter with 708 runs to his name. His aggressive batting style also helped the Bangladesh A team on their tour of Ireland as he amassed 136 runs in three innings and belted two fifties.
Fazle finally stole the limelight with a 195-run innings in the National Cricket League earlier this month when the selectors were already looking for clinical performers to replace the injured star players.
