Tamim-Miraz to be out of action for a while

It seems as though the international trio of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed will have to be sidelined for the rest of the Bangladesh Cricket League – the country’s premier first-class competition – due to their respective injuries.
Tamim Iqbal hurt his knee and had to skip the rest of the Pakistan Super League’s conclusive games because of it. He is expected to be out for another three weeks. Mehidy Hasan Miraz injured his shoulder and could need an operation for it, although the course of painkiller injections that he is taking isn’t over yet.
Taskin, meanwhile, is suffering from back problems and will need at least another month to completely recover from it.

This means that none of the trio can feature in the remaining rounds of the game in the BCL. The fifth round is set to begin on Tuesday (April 17th, 2018) and the tournament is expected to end on the 27th of this month.
Since both Miraz and Tamim were busy with international duty, they missed the early rounds of the tournament and now with these injuries, they will not have played a single game in this year’s edition of the BCL by the time it ends.
Taskin, however, played one match in the tournament, taking four wickets in the first innings and none in the second.
