Mohammad Shami, after being under the microscope for his wife's accusations of adultery and domestic violence, has finally gotten some relief as he is set to be offered grade B contract by the BCCI.

Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan had claimed that he could be involved in match-fixing. She had also revealed that Shami took money from a Pakistani girl on the insistence of England-based Mohammad Bhai.

Following the allegations of match-fixing, CoA had requested Mr. Neeraj Kumar, head of BCCI's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), to investigate the allegations against Shami. The pacer has been cleared by the anti-corruption unit and he can now play for India and his IPL side—Delhi Daredevils as well.

A media release by the BCCI stated, "The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) and requested Mr. Neeraj Kumar, former Police Commissioner of Delhi and Head of BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit, to investigate the allegations against Mohd. Shami insofar as they pertain to the provisions of the BCCI Anti-Corruption Code."

"Mr. Neeraj Kumar has submitted his confidential report to the CoA. Based on the conclusions in the said report, the CoA is of the view that no further actions/ proceedings under the BCCI anti-corruption code are warranted in the matter.

"For this reason, the BCCI shall proceed with offering a Grade 'B' annual retainership contract to Mohd. Shami," it added.
