A stellar century from Usman Khan, combined with excellent bowling performances by pacer Shoriful Islam and spinners Aliss Al Islam and Arafat Sunny, led Chittagong Kings to a commanding 105-run victory over Durbar Rajshahi in their second match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

However, dropped catches and inconsistent bowling allowed Chittagong to regain momentum. Usman Khan capitalized on the reprieve, smashing a scintillating century and forming a 120-run partnership with England’s Graham Clark. The Kings posted a formidable total of 219/5. In reply, Rajshahi crumbled to 114 all out in 17.1 overs.

Pakistani top-order batter Usman Khan, who has previously scored a century in the BPL, played a career-best T20 innings, smashing 123 runs off 62 balls. His knock included 13 fours and six sixes. Partnering with him, Clark contributed a brisk 40 off 25 balls, hitting five boundaries and two sixes. Later, Mohammad Mithun added 28 runs off 15 balls, while Haider Ali finished with a quickfire 19 off 9 balls.

Rajshahi’s chase began poorly, losing their first wicket for just 9 runs. Debutant Sabbir Hossain fell early, and although Mohammad Haris and Anamul Haque briefly steadied the innings with a 32-run partnership, Haris’s departure for a quick 32 off 15 balls triggered a collapse.

Anamul (8), Yasir Rabbi (16), and Akbar Ali (18) failed to make significant contributions, leaving Rajshahi reeling.

Chittagong's  bowlers were clinical. Aliss Al Islam led the charge with figures of 4-0-17-3, supported by Arafat Sunny (4-0-23-3). Shoriful Islam and Pakistan’s Mohammad Wasim Jr. each claimed two wickets, ensuring Rajshahi’s batting lineup was dismantled.
