Saikat, the first and only ICC Elite Panel umpire from Bangladesh, is also scheduled to take on the role of on-field umpire in the fifth and final Test, beginning on January 3 in Sydney.
A former first-class cricketer, Saikat has earned recognition for his dedication and hard work, becoming the first Bangladeshi umpire to officiate in the ODI World Cup in 2023.
