Khulna advanced to the second qualifier after defeating Chattogram Division in the eliminator. They will face Dhaka Metro on December 22 in a do-or-die clash for a place in the final.

Confirming Mustafizur’s return, Khulna captain Nurul Hasan Sohan said, “I spoke with him, and he plans to join us tonight if we win today’s match. Hopefully, he will be ready to play tomorrow’s game. I’ll have a clearer idea once he arrives.”

Despite a rocky start to the tournament, Khulna has bounced back with strong performances in their last four matches, securing a spot in the top four. The second qualifier will be another must-win game, and Sohan emphasized the team’s focus, saying, “We’ve been playing do-or-die matches for the last four games. Tomorrow, we’ll follow the same process, In Shaa Allah.”

In the eliminator, Khulna’s top-order batters, including Anamul Haque Bijoy, Imrul Kayes, Azizul Haque Tamim, and Mohammad Mithun, failed to deliver. However, captain \Sohan stepped up with a crucial 52 off 39 balls, helping the team post a competitive total of 146 runs.

Pacers Mehedi Hasan Rana and Masum Khan Tutul then sealed the victory with exceptional bowling performances.
