Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed expressed his desire to lead the national cricket team in the future while speaking to the press ahead of BPL.
Taskin was appointed as the vice-captain of the Durdanto Dhaka franchise in the upcoming season. When asked if he wanted to appear as a captain of the national team he said, “Yes, of course. Why not, every player has a dream. Everything will happen step by step.
Regarding being the vice-captain of Dhaka, he said, “Our team is very young. Sujon Sir is there, Mosaddek is there including me, there are many other experienced cricketers.

“Maybe subject to availability of many foreign cricketers is a matter of concern some will arrive late, some may not be available on time,”

Taskin expects to form an organized team and develop team collaboration and vows to share his expertise with the team.
"If we can organize the existing team and play with unity, it will be great. I will always try to share my own experiences with the team. So that our team can benefit,” he said.
"If I can effectively use the power that I have, the end of the day will count how well I performed. By keeping the basics right and sharpening further, my performance will be more effective for the team," he added.
