Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, the Awami League candidate for the Magura-1 constituency, emerged victorious in the electoral contest by securing a total of 185,388 votes.
His closest competitor, Kazi Rezaul Hossain, garnered 45,993 votes in the election. The Magura-1 constituency comprises a total of 152 seats.
The balloting for the 12th national polls in Bangladesh concluded on Sunday, characterized by a predominantly peaceful environment.
The voting process commenced at 8 am across 261,912 polling booths in 42,024 voting centers, concluding at 4 pm.
Notably, some centers continued to accept votes from individuals waiting to exercise their franchise.
