Tamim shows interest to do commentary in T20 World Cup

Bangladesh batter Tamim Iqbal is keen to take commentary as a career option in the future and said he is likely to debut Internationally in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
During the live session of Daraz 11.11 on Friday Tamim spoke about his interest in commentary. Tamim, who has been considered as one of the best speakers in the Bangladesh dressing room revealed he was offered to take the job in the ongoing ODI World Cup.

“I don’t think I will work as a coach. I’m quite interested in commentary. I had received an offer to do it in this World Cup but unfortunately didn’t happen. Probably I will do it in the upcoming T20 World Cup. I’m going to do it. If I enjoy it then I will take it further,” said Tamim during the live session hosted by Daraz.

Tamim caused a buzz in the cricketing fraternity and social media platforms stepping into the commentary box for the first time during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game between Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers.
The former captain has announced retirement from the T20I format so there is a high possibility for the dashing opener to appear as a commentator in the upcoming World Cup scheduled to be played in June.
