Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has decided to withdraw his retirement after meeting honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon.
Tamim confirmed it by himself to the media in the presence of BCB boss Papon and former captain Mashrafe Mortaza.
It was also learned that the captain will take a mental break of one and a half months before returning to cricket.
"I can decline everyone but not the Prime Minister. Mashrafe Bhai had brought me while Papon bhai, too, was present at the meeting with me," Tamim told the media.

"She [PM] has asked me to change my decision. She has given me a leave of a month and a half so that I can be mentally free," he added.
Tamim will be back to lead the team in the Asia Cup which will begin on 31 August. Litton Das, the designated vice-captain, will stand in for Tamim in the remaining two ODIs against Afghanistan.
Tamim was spotted to visit the respected Prime Minister at Gono Bhaban at 2:30 PM on Friday to discuss his unexpected retirement from international cricket.
Tamim announced to retire from international cricket on Thursday. The shocking development shook the entire cricket fraternity as the decision was taken amid the Afghanistan series and just three months ahead of the World Cup 2023.
