Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon said he would have had a heart attack if he had seen Bangladesh's dismal start to their second Test against Sri Lanka today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

In the first session of the day's play, Bangladesh was struggling at 24 for five.

“I was not here [in SBNCS] when we lost five wickets. Might have had a heart attack if I was here in Mirpur early. I was with the Prime Minister at that time [along with International Cricket Council chairman Greg Barclay]. She [PM Sheikh Hasina] had asked me the score, I told her I will look at it once I am at the stadium,” said BCB boss Nazmul to the media in Mirpur Monday.

The Tigers mounted a remarkable comeback because to Mushfiqur and Liton's undefeated centuries, and finished the day on 277 for five.

In the first session of the day, Papon reached SBNCS with Mushfiq and Liton batting in the middle.

Visiting the home of cricket, the BCB president flew to Sylhet on a helicopter with ICC chief Barclay to inspect school cricket and cricketers' facilities.

In the evening, Papon went to Mirpur to find Bangladesh back in the game, thanks to Mushfiq and Liton.
