Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Mithun expressed dissatisfaction for not being tried long enough before putting him to wilderness.
Mithun got his international debut in 12 February 2014 through T20I. Later he got his debut in ODI in that same year against India but got his Test debut in 11 November 2018 as the most experienced first-class cricketer from Bangladesh to make his Test debut, with 88 matches.
The right-handed middle-order batsman also said that he can't ignore what happened with him, but he is positive to do his work as there will always be competition.
Though he also showed his despair about how a young age player get chances now and have opportunities despite being a failure.

But in his time he didn't get any chances. Every time he got dropped out of the team he had taken two or three years to return to the national side. Mithun said that he didn't get chances like this, he didn't get to play 10 matches in a row.
When he entered the team after playing Under-19 he travelled with the team, returned back and left out of the team without any reason or if he had one bad match he was left out of the team.
Mithun believes if he had got chances like today's young cricketers gets then the scenario would have been different but still in his middle-age he had to perform with minimal mistakes and mark his position in the team.
"You are talking about my age, my entire career followed up like this. You see now a young player is given a lot of opportunities. But that did not happen in my case. I joined the national team a long time ago, I entered after playing Under-19. This culture did not exist at that time. At that time it was like this, I went on tour, I came back, and left out. There was no reason. I have failed in one match and dropped out again. It has taken me two or three years to return every time I have dropped out. I was not given a chance to play 10 matches in a row. I'm used to being left out. However, I am in my middle age, of course, I should make less mistakes." Mithun told a Bengali daily.
Mithun, 29, feels an added pressure of losing his spot from the national team at this stage of his career, as his entire national team career he faced it for so many times. Through the Asia Cup tournament, the right-handed batsman returned to the national side and till now he is with the team. And wants to perform consistently so that he can mark his place in the team.
"The Asia Cup was the tournament for me where I marked my return. Because I was not in the team for a long time. Then by performing there, I returned to the team. Because I have been regularly playing in the national team since the Asia Cup. My expectations were certainly to be in a better place than where I am right now. It would have been nice to be a little more consistent." Mohammad Mithun also said that he knows if he still play bad in one match then a lot of talking will rise against him and he might lose the spot again as it happened multiple time before."Because still if I play one match bad then a lots of talking arise. In media, in everywhere. This is not a good side for any player. There is always an added pressure on yourself that if you play bad you have to be dropped again. If I had been a little more consistent, then this talking wouldn't have arisen. I could also play a little more independently. And then it would have been possible to play a little better." Mithun concluded.
