Taskin stands alone in A+ category, Mahmudullah opts out of new contract

Mahmudullah Riyad and Taskin Ahmed
Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has been placed in a league of his own in the latest Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) central contract for 2025, as the 29-year-old is the sole player in the A+ category, which offers the highest salary.

The BCB recently announced contracts for 22 players, dividing them into five categories with varying pay scales. Taskin, the only cricketer in the A+ grade, will receive Tk 10 lakh per month—the highest salary bracket.
