Bangladesh’ Mohammad Mithun said that he is not concentrating on keeping as he considered as third option in the national team.

Mohammad Mithun has been a wicket-keeping batsman from his first-class cricket career.

 But currently  he is playing for national team just as a batsman as Mushfiqur Rahim is there to stand behind the wicket with his hand gloves.

The right-handed batsman Mithun consider himself as the third option as if Mushfiq is not keeping then there is another national team player Liton Das to put the gloves and stand behind the stumps.

"Tough question, saying because I can't think of it from the present place. Because I am the third option. I am the third in the place of keeper-batsman in the national team. Because if Mushfiq Bhai (Mushfiqur Rahim) does not keep, then Liton becomes the keeper," said Mithun.

"Then I do if needed. Like I had to keep in the pink ball Test in India because there was no option and that is why I don’t focus on keeping in the national team.

‘’Fielding is also important there. You can help the team by fielding well. If I focus on keeping there, I get less time to focus on fielding or batting. So I understand the reality and give time to fielding and batting there,’’ he said.
