Bangladesh Russell Domingo is hopeful that Shakib presence will help others raise their games as well when they take on Australia adding that team needs to play as a unit.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, all cricketing activities have come to a standstill and Australia has also postponed their tour of Bangladesh which was scheduled to start from the month of June.

Bangladesh has missed badly in Shakib's absence to both India and Pakistan recently as the team had to suffer three back to back innings defeat. Bangladesh however defeated Zimbabwe in their last test match by an innings margin.
Domingo is hoping that all players have to perform at their best if they entertain any thoughts of beating Australia in their home condition and would welcome Shakib presence during that time
‘’At that time we will have Shakib, it is definitely a positive aspect. However, not only Shakib, but I also have young players in my positive thinking. Those players will get a chance to better prepare themselves for a good game against a team like Australia within this rescheduling of the series. We want to do something great in that series. In that case, senior cricketers as well as youngsters have to contribute,’’ said Domingo.
‘’We've given chance to some young players on the national team. Among them are boys like Saifuddin and Naeem Sheikh. (Nazmul Hossain) Shanto has also started to perform. It is very promising for these youngsters to come forward as a team. They will once become the nucleus. They are also under the radar of three or four senior cricketers. They are taking Bangladesh cricket to a much better place in the next few years - I can see this when looking ahead’’ he added
