Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal compared the situation of Shakib Al Hasan and Smith-Werner ban through his wit.
The veteran left-handed opener and the current ODI skipper of Bangladesh team Tamim Iqbal saw the widely watched cricket documentary series 'The Test' and after watching the series he compared the situation the two teams one Australia and other one Bangladesh face after losing their most viable players due to ban from International Cricket Council [ICC].
Bangladesh cricket teams without arguably best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan got one-year ban from competitive cricket since October last year, by ICC for not disclosing multiple corrupt approaches from an Indian bookie.

The team had to form again and had to travel to India and Pakistan series without the ace all-rounder, where his absence was vastly felt, but according to Tamim, Bangladesh team didn’t feel the same trauma that the entire Australia team had to endure.
‘‘I think Sakib’s case cannot be compared with Smith and Warner,’’Tamim was quoted in an English daily newspaper on Sunday.
‘’The sandpaper gate scandal shocked the whole Australian nation. They are an immensely successful team and after the incident, the reputation of the whole team was at stake. But In Sakib’s case, that’s his personal misunderstanding,’ he added.
The Australia team faced their worst controversy in 2018, where three of their players, then skipper Smith, vice-captain Warner and opener Cameron Bancroft was accused of ball-tampering attempts during a Test match against South Africa in 2018 in Cape Town.
The Test: A new era for Australian cricket' shows about that situation and how the Aussies regrouped and found ways to succeed without their two best players and what was the dressing room tension between this whole time was highlighted in this documentary.
