Sabbir Rahman stand besides 500 people of Rajshahi

Bangladesh national team player Sabbir Rahman has come forward to stand beside the underprivileged people of the country.


Due to the coronavirus situation, everything is in a standstill, people are forced to be in home-quarantine due to the alarming situation. But the people who are day to day labourer are facing the most distress because of this lockdown. And now they are seeking assistance from others in this situation where they are living without food.

Many national team players have come forward to stand beside these people by raising fund or providing their assistance by themselves or by donating on some funds.


The right-arm batsman who is currently out of central contract list and also became an irregular player in the national team said that he has provided relief to 500 families in his hometown Rajshahi.


"I have moved to Rajshahi with family due to this coronavirus situation. I gave relief today in Rajshahi. Gave relief to 500 families. A private company was with me in this," Sabbir Rahman said to Cricfrenzy in an interview.



Earlier, a total of 27 players, including 17 players under national payroll and 10 other players who were part of the squad during recent series against Zimbabwe have donated their half of the salary and raised a fund. Also, the 91 first-class cricketers have also raised a fund with their halve salary and donated to The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh [CWAB].


Also the former skipper Mashrafe Mortaza is providing his assistance to his Narail-2 constitutional area. Mushfiqur Rahim is ready to auction his maiden Test double-hundred bat and will use the money to give support to the distress people of the country. Also, Shakib Al Hasan has come forward with his newly made charitable organization The Shakib Al Hasan Foundation and the current ODI skipper  Tamim Iqbal is donating as much as he can to stand beside the underprivileged people.
