Every cricket players have an icon in their career. They want to be like their iconic player, perform like them. Some prefer to be like Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar and some wants to be like Muttiah Muralitharan, Wasim Akram or Glen Mcgrath. Like these young right-arm spinner dreams to perform like Nathan Lyon who is considered to be the most successful spin bowler for the Aussie team, who is the record wicket-taker in Test matches as an off-spinner for Australia team.

Nayeem Hasan in an interview said that he wants to be like Lyon and perform like him, but the 19 years old does know that for this he has to travel a long journey. He also said that when he hold a bat and come down for batting he has a feeling that he also wants to bat and be an all-rounder like countries biggest all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

"I try to be like him [Nathan Lyon]. I can't be like him if I want. I have to make a long way journey for that reason. I have a wish to be like him. Also have a hope to become an all-rounder like Shakib Bhai," Nayeem said that in an interview.

On the other hand, looking at the statistics it is visible that Nayeem has already started to walk on the footsteps of his icon Lyon.

Lyon made his Test debut against Sri Lanka where he got his first wicket in the first ball which was a big achievement as a third Australian player [17th international player] in Test cricket. Also he had five-wicket haul in that match becoming the 131st player to take five wickets on debut in a Test match.

On the other hand, Nayeem Hasan made his Test match debut for Bangladesh against West Indies in November 2018. He also took five wickets in his debut match in that process he became the youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul on debut in Tests, at the age of 17 years and 356 days.
