Tamim stands behind underprivileged people by big donation

Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal came forward to assist the underprivileged people of Bangladesh through a charitable organization.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic people all over the world has been home quarantined. Many countries have adopted the lockdown regulatory to prevent the infection of the virus. Bangladesh is no different. But for this, the day to day labourer are harmed largely as they don't have enough resources to be at home and relax. People of different class and also cricketers have come forward to support them in this disaster situation.

The veteran opener has donated a massive amount to Footsteps, a charitable organization who are working to provide support towards the underprivileged people of the society.

Footsteps organization confirmed this in their official Facebook page, where they cordially thanked Tamim to be a part of their fundraising process. Also urged everyone to come forward and donate to help others who are struggling the most in this pandemic.  

"We would like to thank Bangladesh Cricket Captain Tamim Iqbal for making an extensive donation to support underprivileged families with food supplies through our COVID-19 Rehabilitation response. Tamim has joined in our mission and you can too to help us reach as many struggling families as possible and help them survive this pandemic."

Earlier on 25 March Tamim Iqbal and his teammates raised a fund of BDT 26 lac by donating their 50 percent of the salary.  Where Tamim's share of donation was BDT three lac 25 thousand.
