Mashrafe steps down as Bangladesh ODI captain

Bangladesh one day captain Mashrafe Mortaza has decided to step down as one day captain after he will lead his team for the final match in the last game against Zimbabwe on Friday.
There was lot of speculation about Mashrafe retirement when the ODI series has started and Bangladesh cricket board president Nazmul Hasan Papon has said they will select a new one day captain in the next board meeting.

Mashrafe also thanked everyone in his journey as captain and will try to play as a player if selected in the future games for his country.
‘’I am thankful to everyone who supported me in this long journey. I am officially announcing it but I will try to play if I were picked as a player ‘’Mashrafe said in the pre-match press conference at Sylhet international stadium before the third ODI.
Mashrafe will be badly missed in the Bangladesh One day cricket of the game as he the most successful Bangladesh captain with 49 wins and if win tomorrow match he will be the first captain to win 50 ODI matches as skipper.
