Tamim completes milestones-filled day

It was a day of a milestone for Tamim Iqbal as he reached his highest ODI score against Zimbabwe and in the process also became the first Bangladeshi to reach 7000 runs.   


As the first Bangladeshi batsman, Tamim Iqbal touched 7000-run milestone in ODIs. He touched the milestone in the second ODI of the series against Zimbabwe at Sylhet International Stadium.

Tamim has entered the club as the number 42 international cricketer. The opener has played 206 match and scored 7074 runs in his 204 innings for the country so far.


Where the left-hander has scored 11 centuries and 48 half-centuries. His batting average is 35.90. Shakib Al Hasan is the second highest run-scorer for Bangladesh.
The all-rounder has scored 6323 runs from 206 ODIs. Though Shakib is currently banned from cricket for a year. On 29 October, 2020 he will return to cricket overcoming ban.


Mushfiqur Rahim is in the third position scoring 6174 runs. For the fourth position Mahmudullah Riyad scored 4027 runs. Mohammad Ashraful is in fifth place. The right-handed batsman scored 3468 runs for the country.



Tamim touched another achievement in the ongoing match against Zimbabwe. After 19 long month scoring a century made him the top scorer against Zimbabwe for his country.
