Bangladesh A vs Afghanistan A: Second day washed out

Consistent drizzle washed out the entire second day’s game of the second and final four-day match between Bangladesh A and visiting Afghanistan A on Saturday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.


The rain also interrupted first day’s game and allowed only 7.4 overs, in which Bangladesh A scored 18-1, after being sent to bat first.

Raqibul Hasan and Mohammad Naim were batting on 10 and 6 runs respectively. Captain Imrul Kayes was dismissed on 2.


Afghanistan A leads the two-match four-day series 1-0, having beaten the hosts by seven wickets in the first match at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.


After the completion on the four-day series, the two teams will play a five-match one-day series.
