Even though he was not quite the force he is used to be, Bangladesh won’t be such foolish to underestimate Rashid Khan, one of the finest leg-spinner in the world at the moment.
Rashid has been the Bangladesh’s tormentor over the years given the fact that the Tigers often found them in vulnerable state against the quality leg-spin.
Bangladesh however looked happy when they saw Rashid returned World Cup’s worst bowling figure, giving away a whopping 110 runs from his nine overs against England.

He also was red-faced, being smashed by 11 sixes by the England batsmen—no bowler in cricket’s history conceded such amount sixes in a single match.
But Bangladesh’s euphoria was short-lived with Rashid hit back with bang against India to rediscover his mojo. Even though he had just taken one wicket, he posed a massive threat to a batting line up who, by the own version of legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne even could play spin by sleeping.
So Bangladesh now looked worried. However Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes said that they have full respect to Rashid but that doesn’t mean they fear him
“I think the words respect in Rashid Khan. He's a wonderful bowler. I know he went for plenty of runs against Morgan against England, but that was just one of those days for him. Generally, he's very, very aggressive and tight at the same time, so a quality bowler,” Rhodes said.
Alongside Rashid, Afghanistan’s other two spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi also dazzled with cherry. Even the part time spinner Rahmat Shah was also superb.
Rhodes said they will come up their best without fearing them.
“Then the other two spinners in Nabi and Mujeeb are quality, so we really do respect them, but we don't fear. A lot of the lads have grown up playing on spinning wickets, so they've faced a lot of spin bowlers, but we'll respect them because they're top international bowlers.”
