Today Shakib al Hasan enters the elite club of players who scored a total of 11000 runs in three formats. He becomes the second Bangladeshi to do so, Tamim Iqbal is the first Bangladeshi to go past 11000 runs in all formats, he is in the 12000 runs club.

Before today’s match, Shakib only required 5 more runs to pass this milestone and he easily did this with a single on the third man region on Pehlukwayo's delivery. Shakib al Hasan currently has 3807 runs in the test cricket, 5722 in the ODI cricket and 1471 runs in the T20.  He is also expected to pass the milestone of 6000 ODI runs in this World Cup. As there are 9 group matches in this World Cup so Shakib will be looking forward achieve this milestone also.  

Bangladesh’s wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is also in the race of scoring a total of 11000 runs in three formats, he has scored 10702 runs up to this match. He may also achieve this record in this World Cup.
 Shakib is also in front of another big milestone today. As he needs just one wicket to become a fifth all-rounder in the World to score 5000 ODI runs and have 250 wickets.
