Bangladesh have the cards up in the sleeve to be match for any team in the world, a secret thing that the team management declined to reveal. And it is promised to be on display with full glory when the Tigers take on South Africa in the World Cup opener.

Having said that, bowling coach Courtney Walsh stated this is not the time to unleash the strength in public as it was the secret weapon, with whom they are coming to prey the opponents.

“That’s our secret weapon.  We don’t want our opposition to know about our strength,” Walsh said after Bangladesh’s practice session at The Oval on Friday.

“But we have a lot of guys on our squad that can turn the game around.  On the day and on the condition then we will turn that lose.”

Just for a change, Walsh chose to disclose that they are team to match anyone else in this World Cup. But again he refused to show the cards.

“We believe we can match anyone. It’s the depth of the batting that selectors are looking at. I try to make them ready for the match and let the selectors have their headache,” he said.

Walsh however disclosed the players are pretty high on confidence on the eve of the first match despite some injury concern.

“I think we are pretty good, the guys have practiced very well in the last couple of games. The guys have had a very good tournament. So, the confidence is pretty high,” he remarked.

“We just have to enjoy and play our cricket. Although the guys lost the last practice match but we know we are in a good shape and we have practiced pretty well.  We can have good days and bad days but you want to have more good days than bad days. The confidence of the individual players have been very high, the guys have been enjoying their practice session you can see that in their body language. The guys are keen to do well, everyone wants to do well for the Bangladesh cricket as its the World cup.  I am excited for Sunday and hoping that we can get a very good start.”
