West Indian star cricketer Andre Russell thinks , he got banned for a year without doing anything wrong. In 2017, Russell was banned from all formats of cricket for a year.
He was charged because of misconducting the doping rules. But Russell always defended himself by saying he didn’t take anything illegal. He said it was the toughest time in his career and this incident inspired him to come back stronger.

“They banned me for a year although I didn’t do anything wrong. After a while I accepted my fate saying may be its a part of my life. After that I didn’t mess around, I started training. I wanted to come back stronger than ever and prove myself.”
“Because people used to put finger at me and say I know that guy, he is strong because he takes drug. I was very strong mentally that time. For this I am here now. “Said Russell.
Russel was accused of drug taking since 2015 as was out of radar during the dope testing. Jamaica anti-doping commission said, Russell was unable to give us any report about his whereabouts in January 1, July 15 and July 25 of 2015.
He was called and mailed several times; they even gave notice to his house in that time. But Russell defended himself he didn’t report because of busy cricket schedule.
