Possibility of rain in the World Cup opener

Rain may spoil the ICC World Cup opener, scheduled to begin after few hours, between host England and South Africa and at Oval.
England’s World Cup will unveil its true self today with the opening match between two cricketing giants but unappealing rain can cause some trouble in this big game.

According to weather forecast, rain may cause trouble throughout this match as the sky may remain cloudy till 2 pm (Local Time).
Though there is a possibility that the sun may shine at noon but at the same time there is a possibility of rain in the afternoon.
As a result there is a chance of the World Cup opener to be a rain curtailed match that will force the Duckworth/ Lewis method may come into play.
Rain had already played a part some leading up to the World Cup as the warm-up match between Bangladesh and Pakistan was abandoned due to heavy drizzle.
In the month of May and June UK remains cloudy and rain falls for at least 15 days each month.
