BCB plans to host two Twenty20 friendly to celebrate golden jubilee of country’s independence

Bangladesh Cricket Board is trying to arrange two Twenty 20 friendly matches between World XI and Asia XI to celebrate golden jubilee of country’s independence and the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said BCB sources on Thursday.
BCB high-ups on request of anonymity confirmed Cricfrenzy that the two matches are expected to be played on March 19 and 20 respectively though the venue is yet to be finalized.
‘’We have made the proposal and sent it so that we can get the best of the players in the two friendly T-20’s scheduled to be played between World XI and Asia XI,’’ a top BCB official said on Thursday.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan on Thursday hinted that they are on their way to organize the two matches though remained reluctant to disclose the format or the participants.
On Mayt 19th and 20th of 2020 we will arrange two friendly matches,’’ Nazmul told reporters at the International Mother Language Institute.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan earlier stated that they have a plan to celebrate the golden jubilee of country’s independence by organizing an international event.
BCB also plan to mark the 100-year birthday celebration of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along the way during this time frame.
“Next year, the country will observe the 100-year birthday anniversary of Bangabandhu and the 50-year of the Independence Day. We are trying to do something which can draw the attention of the world,’’ Nazmul told reporters at the BCB head quarter while disclosing the plan last month.
