Anything under 200 is possible: Dowrich

West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Dowrich predicted that anything under 200 as a target would be easier to achieve.
After being reduced to 55/5, Bangladesh have a lead of 133 runs with five wickets in hand, which gave West Indies a hope to limit their target to 200.
“I think it’s pretty even right now. Bangladesh already have a lead and a lead on the board is always a challenge,” Dowrich said.

“But I think once we go hard in the morning and get those wickets as early as possible and bat well in the second innings, we could also come out winning.”
“On this pitch it is hard to say. I’d say anything under 200 is possible. Anything over 200 might be difficult,” he reckoned.
On an increasingly deteriorating pitch, the batting was not the only difficult thing. From umpiring perspective, it is also difficult. On day-two itself, there were 11 reviews in total from both batting and bowling sides, out of which six decisions were struck down, which meant the sides reviewed in vain and the umpire’s call was right. But umpires had to overturn their decisions five times.
The third day might see a galore of review also, which prompted Dowrich to be contrite for the umpire’s job.
“I think umpiring is a tough job. Obviously guys working behind the scene in the technology... that’s a tough job also. I can’t say that it gets any harder for us,” he said.
As a wicketkeeper, Dowrich himself also faced the heat in this sort of wicket.
“It’s a tough pitch to keep on. The inconsistent bounce and lots of spin, but just gotta stay low and try to catch it well,” he concluded.
