Staying at national dressing room was helpful: Ariful

Bangladesh batsman Ariful Haque said on Friday that his experience in the national dressing room helped him immensely to learn to take the pressure off him at international levels.
Ariful was added in the national setup since the home series against Sri Lanka but hardly had the chance to be a regular member of the team before his knock against Zimbabwe in the opening Test looked to have opened his doors in the playing XI.
According to Ariful, his first-hand experience at the dressing room was a lesson that he kept close to his heart as that made him aware of the pressure that surrounds international cricket.
“It’s true that despite not playing all the matches, staying with the national team was a great experience for me. Sharing the same dressing room with the big players helped me to learn much. When senior players shared their experience it helped me in international matches,” said Ariful.
“Now I wish to play across the formats. It is my expectation that I will try to play the it is required to play in all the formats.
“It’s true that despite not playing all the matches, staying with the national team was a great experience for me. Sharing the same dressing room with the big players or playing against the big teams benefited me to learn much.
“It’s not in my hand, in which match I will play and which match I will not. But I will mentally be prepared for it. Everybody will be unhappy if one don’t get chance to play after getting into squad. I have no authority over it. But I could do to continue only my work,” he added.
