BCB to beef-up security amid fans invade in the ground

A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official said Monday that they are looking to beef-up the security to prevent any untoward incident inside the venue.
A young man stole all the attentions during the third day of the first Test in Sylhet as he managed to break into the tight security barriers in order to hug his cricketing icon, Mushfiqur Rahim.
BCB chief security manager Hossain Imam said that they are looking into the matter with utmost sincerity.

‘’We are looking to beef up the security,’’ said Imam.
“We have to be more active to make sure everything is going as per direction,’’ he said.
The incident took place after the end of the 43 over as he ran towards from a stand escaping the eyes of security persons working in the field and hugged Mushfiq from the behind after the team was having a meeting inside the ground following the dismissal of Peter Moor.
According to the BCB official the man, who managed to flee into the ground by getting over the fence that is situated at the eastern side of the venue, was handed over to the police.
A similar incident took place on the opening day of the Test match when a young named Shahidul Islam got into the field to get a glimpse of his hero Mushfiqur.
It was reported in the media that the match referee showed huge concern over the matter and instructed the security to be more alert.
