Bangladesh got a major boost ahead of their two-match Test series against Zimbabwe as scan reports cleared Mustafizur Rahman of any injury scares. The pacer sustained an elbow injury in the first ODI against Zimbabwe and was rested in the third ODI where Abu Hider Rony replaced him.

There was nothing serious in his scan report and we are hopeful that he will be available from the opening Test," BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told reporters on Tuesday (October 30). "We have given him some rest [reason for his brief stay in Dhaka] as the pain can diminish on its own by taking some rest or it can be reduced by medication.
Mustafizur missed Bangladesh last Test series against West Indies where Bangladesh suffered a whitewash. The Tigers are already missing the services of Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal and hence Mustafizur's absence could have been another blow for them.
The left-hander will join the rest of the squad in Sylhet on Wednesday. The Sylhet International Stadium will make its debut as Bangladesh eighth Test venue, on November 3 when Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the first Test.
