Liton Das powers Bangladesh ahead

Bangladesh’s new opening partnership between Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan counter-attacked against the Indian bowling quite well in the first ten overs of the match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were culpable of bowling at an inaccurate line and the Bangladeshi batsmen reaped huge benefits.

Das especially relished at every loose delivery and acquired major benefits through the field restrictions. Accordingly, Mashrafe Mortaza’s men have built an excellent momentum for their middle order.

The Tigers’ team management should be credited for experimenting with the batting order in such an important match. Rohit Sharma tried to turn things around by bringing Yuzvendra Chahal. However, the wily leg spinner was taken to cleaners as he conceded 19 runs in his two overs.

Even Bumrah failed to bowl at a consistent length and bowled a full toss that was sliced away for a boundary by Das. Kumar, however, conceded only 16 runs from his four overs.

The Indian captain would be keen to turn things around by making some apt bowling changes furthermore.

Maybe, the introduction of Ravindra Jadeja or Kuldeep Yadav could prove to be beneficial. However, after ten overs, Bangladesh have scored 65 runs at the loss of no wickets.
