Former Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful said that he is getting the reward of his hard work as he shined extraordinarily in the fitness test of Dhaka Metro ahead of the National Cricket League (NCL).
Ashraful hogged all the spot light after scoring 11.4 out of 12 in the bleep test during the fitness check program launched by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) recently.
BCB decided to restructure the NCL, the country's traditional first-class tournament, in order to bring competitiveness in the domestic circuit.

As first step of restructuring first-class cricket, BCB decided to introduce a fitness test program for the respective divisions from September 8 to 16.
Players failing to earn the desired result in the fitness test will not be eligible to take part in the NCL, scheduled to start from October 4.
“I was taking preparation for NCL for the last three months and wanted to be fit from the first match,” Ashraful told reporters after the fitness test at Mirpur.
“I always wanted my fitness level to be of international standard and scoring 11.4 indicates it is quite close to my expectations though there is certainly there are areas to improve fitness-wise.
“I have literally stopped eating rice for the last two and a half months in order to gain a good standard [on fitness] and it is quite an achievement for me considering my love for any kind of food,” he said.
It seemed all eyes were fixed on Ashraful's fitness, since he is eligible to be considered for national selection after his ban was lifted on August 13 and more so after team management on several occasions laid reservations on his fitness.
If morning shows the day than he had certainly made his point by clocking 11.4 [out of 12] in the bleep test to make sure he is right on track.
