Tigress squad announced for Women's World T20 Qualifier


Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad ahead of the Women’s World T20 Qualifier, scheduled to commence from July 7. The same squad will travel to Ireland for a three-T20I series set to take place between June 28 and July 1.
The Qualifier will be held in the Netherlands and the Tigresses will play their first game in the competition against Papua New Guinea on the opening day.
Bangladesh Women’s team are flying high after defeating six-time champions India in the final match of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup. They are the best ranked team among the eight participants in the Qualifier.
Eight teams have automatically qualified for the Women’s World T20 and Bangladesh will look seal one of the top two spots in the Qualifier in order to take part in the biannual T20I championship.

Salma Kahtun will lead the 14-member squad. The only member from the Asia Cup winning side, who has been left out of the squad this time, is Jannatul Ferdous. She has been named among the four players on standby.
