Legendary Australian to coach Bangladesh cricket team

The Bangladesh cricket team are actively looking for someone
to coach them. They might not have found anyone suitable as of yet, but that
could change now. Apparently, former Australia middle-order kingpin, Michael
Bevan, could take the reins of the batting coach of the Tigers.
This won’t be the first time he coaches in the country—should
he really become the batting coach, that is—as he once coached Chittagong Kings in
the Bangladesh Premier League in 2012. And it is being touted that the BCB will
soon make an official announcement.

Bevan was known to be the best finisher of all-time. One
could perhaps count the number of stars in the sky, but they would fail to
point out the amount of times the left-handed batsman saved Australia from jaws
of defeat.
Indeed, he represented Australia in 196 innings and scored
6912 runs at an average of 53.58. However, his average rose to 86.25 whenever
Australia won while chasing. In the 45 innings that he got to bat in glorious
chases, he was not-out 25 times.
This is why he is frequently regarded as the greatest
finisher ever and is one of the most revered figures in the game. His inclusion
will certainly benefit the Tigers, who seem in desperate need of someone of
Bevan’s expertise after their lackluster show against Sri Lanka in the final of
the tri-nation.
