Rampant Rubel stops Sri Lanka surge

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh locked horns to win the final of the tri-nation tournament. Things started well for the Lankans as Gunathilaka started with a boundary, but kept struggling for the next deliveries. Mehidy Hasan Miraz finally got him after getting close on numerous occasions.
After that, there was a tempest for Kusal Mendis as he scored 28 from 9 balls. He, however, lost his wicket to Mashrafe Mortaza, who seemed very animated after scalping him. A bit later, Niroshan Dickwella was adjudged as LBW, but a review saved his life as the decision was overturned.

However, he did lose his wicket after a decently-paced 42 from 57 balls. A while later, Upul Tharanga was clean bowled by a clever slower-one from Mustafizur Rahman. The runs kept coming at a slow pace, but the wickets fell at regular intervals to slow down the pace of the Sri Lankan innings.
Captain Dinesh Chandimal, however, made 45 runs after playing 74 balls before being cleaned by Rubel Hossain. The rest of the pack soon fell with only Akila Dananjaya reaching double figures with a score of 17.
For the bowlers, Rubel Hossain took 4 wickets while Mustafizur bowled economically and helped himself to 2 wickets. Mohammad Saifuddin, Mashrafe Mortaza, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took a wicket each to bundle out Sri Lanka for 221 in 50 overs.
