Brisbane Heat the Stars

Today in the 15th encounter of the Big Bash League, Brisbane Heat defeated Melbourne Stars by 9 wickets. Melbourne Stars have now lost all of their 3 matches in this tournament so far.
Winning the toss, Brisbane decided to field first. The two-paced nature of the pitch never let any batsmen settle from the beginning. As a result, Melbourne finished their innings on 141 runs, giving away 7 wickets.
Opener Luke Wright played an innings of 19 runs before getting out by Swepson. The bowler got the next batsman―Kevin Pietersen―as well. He later dismissed Rob Quiney for a duck. Mitchell Swepson was declared the Man of the Match after the clash.
Piertersen made 30 runs before returning to the pavilion. Glenn Maxwell picked up his half-century and was out on 50 runs by Steketee. James Faulkner remained unbeaten on 20 runs, while no other batsmen could go past 10 runs.

Yasir Shah had trapped Ben Dunk lbw on 5 runs and Cutting scalped the wicket of John Hastings before he could score any. Marcus Stoinis was run out on 4 runs.
Brisbane were looking quite comfortable while chasing the target. They lost their 1st wicket on 101 runs. Opener and captain Brendon McCullum left the ground scoring 61 runs from 30 balls as Liam Bowe bagged his wicket.
Another opener Chris Lynn remained unbeaten on 63 runs and Joe Burns was not out on 18 at the other end. Brisbane Heat registered a total of 144 runs in 14.4 overs to finish the game.
