South African has different opinion from his captain

While South Africa captain Faf du Plessis isn't entirely convinced by the idea of 4-day Test cricket, Dale Steyn is raring to go and try it out. The fast bowler, though, claims that he prefers the traditional way, but wants to try out the new version so that he claim that was one of the first ones to play in it.
Steyn labeled it as "difficult" since it is a new format and the sides participating in it aren’t going to be entirely sure as to when to declare and whatnot.
"When you try and cram five days of cricket into four
it's really difficult," he said.
"This is new to everybody. How will we go about playing
four-day, day-night cricket? When do you declare? What do you do?

But he also admitted that it would be interesting.
“It's going to be interesting all-round. It leaves gaps for
even the best teams in the world to slip up. You've got to have a shrewd
captain who's got good game-plans and everybody's got to buy into it."
While South Africa Test captain Faf du Plessis isn’t
entirely comfortable with the idea of cramming Tests in 4 days, Steyn is
curious and is looking forward to see what the circuit brings about.
"I'm always for new things. I am a traditionalist and I
do like the longer version of the game but I'm all for it. I would like to take
five wickets with the pink ball. I could retire and say, 'I did that, too'.
Bring it on. I'm not shy of that.
Steyn then gave the best possible analogy of how most were
opposed about the idea of T20 cricket, but it has now turned into the most
popular format.
"The game needs new types of things to bring new players to the ballpark, new thinking. We spoke earlier about how we're going to handle 98 overs? It's interesting, and when you've played one or two of these games and you go into the five-day format you might find that you're smarter in your decision-making. Everybody was against the idea of T20 cricket and we can see what a big game it is today."
