Mitchell Marsh hopeful about returning against Pakistan

Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh hopes that he is targeting a return to cricket before Australia’s series against Pakistan in UAE. The Australian suffered from an ankle injury during their tour of South Africa and is still recuperating from it.
As a result, he had to miss Australia’s ODI series against England and the sole T20I as well. Subsequently, Australia lost these games and would be looking forward to having Mitch Marsh back from injury as soon as possible.
Marsh himself has planned his route to a comeback, revealing that he is set to begin bowling in three weeks as his ankle is in good condition.
“From my perspective and where I see the plan, I’ll be fully fit for that tour. I’ve still got 12 weeks, I’ll start bowling in three weeks so I’ll be fully fit for that tour. My ankle is honestly feeling great and I’ve had no setbacks so far. I think the all-rounder role is going to be really important if we’re going to go with two spin options in those conditions,” Marsh was quoted as saying in cricket.com.au.

This is not the first time that Marsh has had to face such a problem. Indeed, back in March last year, he had to undergo a shoulder injury and recuperate from it. Marsh spoke of that experience, stating that it was “quite frustrating.”
“It certainly took a fair while for me to find a bit of rhythm. I was quite impatient with my bowling when I came back. I thought I’d done a lot of hard work and it was going to be all good when I came back, but I was bowling powder puffs for a few months and that was quite frustrating,” the Western Australian cricketer added.
In the meantime, his brother Shaun Marsh was also afflicted with a shoulder injury while playing in England.
