Menaria-Ankon wreak havoc against Agrani Bank

Agrani Bank won the toss and decided to bat first. It might have seen like a good decision as both openers Soumya Sarkar and Azmir Ahmed got them a banging start of 59 from just 10.2 overs. Soumya, however, perished the third ball for a 29-ball 24.
While he played his shots gloriously, he gave his team a hope that he would make a big score, but he failed to capitalize on the start that he got. Azmir Ahmed also departed soon after as he made 25 from 37 balls.
Masum Khan and Robiul Islam Robi were the ones that got the earlier wickets. Meanwhile, Shahriar Nafees and Rafatullah Mohmand scored 29 and 28 runs to keep the score ticking. Indeed, almost every Agrani player got a great start, but just couldn’t convert it into something big.
Salman Hossain made 22, Jahid Javed played superbly for his 54, Abdur Razzak came in handy with 30 runs and Shaiful Islam, too, played a cameo worth 20 runs to take the score to 259/8 after 50 overs.

Masum Khan, Robiul Islam Robi and Rafsan Al Mahmud took two wickets each while Hasan Mahmud and Mohammad Saddam got one slap each.
In response, Khelaghar never looked like they are going to let this one slip out—except for the initial stages where the found themselves at 40/3 after 9.3 overs. Robiul Islam Robi, Rafsan Al Mahmud and Amit Majumder couldn’t do much as they scored 10, 15 and 0 respectively. All of the three wickets were taken by Shafiul Islam.
After that began the Khelaghar show. Indeed, Mahidul Islam Ankon and AL Maneria scored centuries each to end up with 115* and 113* runs and finish the chase within 47.4 overs and 7 wickets in hand.
Scores:
Agrani Bank – 259/8 after 50 overs
Khelghar Samaj Kallyan Samity – 261/3 after 47.4 overs
